Back on July 19, season four show runner Scott Gimple informed "The Walking Dead" fans that we will be seeing Morgan Jones again in the upcoming season. What role he will play or how the characters will come across him is unknown.
The actor that plays Morgan, Lennie James, will actually be in a new AMC series called "Low Winter Sun" (which I may check out, but I don't know yet). James is a tremendous actor and I love his role in television series much more then the comic book series. In the comics, Morgan feels like a crazy guy and personally, I really didn't care for him as a character. He was one of those characters that was just there and didn't really do much.
Again, the acting of Lennie James is why we care about Morgan so much in the television series. You can see James' emotion when he tries to kills his wife in the very first episode. In "Clear", you can see that he's crazy, but he also that has that emotional connection with Rick when he says , "I know you."
I expect to see Morgan the exact same way we came across him in season three. Rick could go to him for help or if the group splits up and has to leave the prison, he could go to Morgan and see if his group can stay there for a while.
Whatever way we see him, I'm very excited to hear he's coming back because his performances have been short but definitely sweet. If Lennie James doesn't put in that emotion we expect from him, then the character of Morgan is completely different and more like the comic book version of him. Because we hear the story about his wife and son combined with the acting of James, we feel a special connection with him.
He's an interesting character and I can't wait to see what his role will be in season four and who will run into him. Will it be Daryl, Tyreese, Michonne and Bob? We do see them separated from the rest of their group, so there's a possibility that they could run into Morgan. Or maybe Rick could go back to Morgan and ask him for help against either the walkers or even the Governor.

Season 4 - What is Tyreese looking at in the trailer?
I hope everyone has seen the Comic-Con trailer regarding season four of The Walking Dead. If not, here it is:
In the trailer, at exactly 2:13, we see Tyreese looking at something, and he looks a mix between shocked and emotional.
At around two minutes, we see Tyreese walking out to a section of the prison where Rick chased after Andrew last season after he killed Tomas. There are also two gas containers nearby. Then at 2:13 in the trailer, Tyreese seems to discover something. We also see Tyreese pushing Daryl up against a wall later in the trailer and then turning around and punching Rick.
There's a few different possibilities as to what Tyreese could have seen. I think what he sees has something to do with his fight with Rick. He also says, "We have to find who did this." He's referring to the cell block being attacked by someone on the inside, and that sounds personal.
Having said all that, I think that Tyreese gets emotional after coming across his sister, Sasha, who is dying right in front of him. There's also a scene in the trailer with her where it looks like Sasha is on the ground and her hand is pressed against the camera (3:51). Tyreese also comes across a blood trail that leads to a place with light (2:00), so maybe Sasha was bleeding and crawled outside and then he finds her dead.
It also seems like they're setting Sasha up to be bossy in the beginning like at the Big Spot in the trailer when she's giving orders. From what I've seen of her so far, I don't really care for her that much and I don't like her giving orders to others. So maybe that's where they're going, but that seems a bit predictable and as a result, they may just go in a whole different direction to make it more surprising.
It could just be some random kids because if you see a kid being mutilated or eaten alive, Tyreese could garner that reaction that we see in the trailer. There's probably something that I haven't thought of or maybe another character could be in that spot, but judging by the emotional response of Tyreese, I think my theory with Sasha makes the most sense.

Season 4 - Analyzing the Comic-Con Trailer + Predictions (PART 2)
A character that really stood out to me was Carol. It was interesting to see her teaching little girls how to use knives safely. It seemed like she was being a motherly figure for those kids, but one kid in particular caught my eye when she held Carol's hand. What could be the role of this little girl?
Analysis: This is probably a long shot, but maybe this girl and Carol could have a mother-daughter relationship. We also saw Carol taking the same little girl into some room toward the middle of the trailer. So maybe they could grow closer as season four goes on and develop a close bond.
Apparently, the prison is not getting any safer, so the group may be forced to hit the road. Hershel: "We may be safer outside those walls." Glenn: "We have to go." Daryl: "Sooner or later, we run." We also see Michonne is also seen scanning a map and she points to a place called Macon, which is familiar to some fans of The Walking Dead, including myself. For those of you that don't know, Macon is a town in Georgia featured in The Walking Dead video game. It is home to the main protagonist of the video game, Lee Everett.
Analysis: Let me assure you, that was not put there by accident. This could mean some kind if crossover with the game. We could actually see Lee and Clementine, the little girl that Lee protected throughout the game, in the show. The show is already very different from the comic books, so why not make it that Lee and Clementine are still in Macon? They're both fan favorites in the video game and bringing them in would be a great way to introduce some lovable characters.
Finally, we have the end of the trailer, where we see Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese and Bob hearing a voice on the radio. "Sanctuary... those who arrive, survive." What could this mean?
Analysis: It could be a hint to a new location for the group. Maybe something like a safe zone? Could it be the Alexandria Safe Zone from the comics? I don't think so, but you never know. We'll have to see what direction they go with that.
Other Thoughts
My favorite moment of the entire trailer (beside the fight between Rick and Tyreese) was when Tyreese got surrounded by tons of ravenous walkers, not that I wanted him to die or anything. But Walking Dead comic book fans, do you remember when Tyreese was surrounded by tons of walkers? You remember who came out on top, right? I won't go any further then that.
It also looks like Hershel was able to craft a prosthetic leg in order to remain an asset to the group. I also loved some of the quotes he gave in the trailer, my favorite quote being, "The only thing you can choose is what you're risking it for." It looks we'll be hearing more words of wisdom from Hershel in season four.
Last, but certainly not least, we have Carl, who didn't appear as often as I thought he would in the trailer. But nonetheless, it'll be interesting to see how he acts after killing that boy in the season three finale and after complaining to his father about the new people moving into the prison.
I can't wait for plenty of walker-filled action, piles of zombie gore under spinning tires, poking walkers through the prison fence, Michonne taking zombies heads off with her katana horseback and lots and lots of headshots. Just bring on October 13 already!

Season 4 - Analyzing the Comic-Con Trailer + Predictions (PART 1)
If you haven't seen the trailer for season four of The Walking Dead, I highly recommend watching it before reading any further!
"We just lost 12 of our own. Two were killed in cold blood."
They even tell us in the trailer how many people are going to die in season four, but there will probably be even more deaths then that.
AMC finally released an extended trailer for the upcoming season and we can make a lot of predictions just from watching this 4.5 minute video. I've already watched it 18 times, so I have a lot of predictions and thoughts about season four.
Let's start with the raid on the "Big Spot" department store. It looks like the prison group have gotten used to scavenging for food. They even have their own formations and armor for protection.
Analysis: One thing that bothered me was seeing Sasha give orders to others. She's only alive because of Tyreese and I just can't imagine Daryl or Michonne taking orders from someone like that. So I already don't like Sasha. We also see the first appearance of new character Bob Stookey, and we see a lot of him throughout the trailer. There's also some yelling and gunfire in the Big Spot, so maybe this new character won't be around for very long.
Next, we see the prison, which has transformed into a farm with crops and even animals. I saw some pigs, which are probably used for meat. The group also made a new gate and it looks like Rick took a page out of Morgan's book with the sharp wooden beams surrounding the entrance. Later in the trailer, we also see some sharp weapons hanging on the fence, ready for action at any time.
Analysis: What's not to love about seeing Michonne on a horse? I'm actually really impressed about the prison and how it looks in the trailer. Looks like they're using the same tactics as last season when it comes to killing walkers on the outside. But as we find out from Carol, the zombies are starting to come in bigger groups. She says to Daryl, "It's manageable, but unless we get ahead of it, not for long."
The violence came very early on in comic book series, and it looks like a version of this violence will be coming to the television show. Walkers are seen attacking cell block D, which looks like the home of many new people in the prison. Rick says after the attack, "Somebody attacked the cell block." Tyreese notes at another point, "We've got to find who did this." Rick responds, "We're not going anywhere, we'll find them." Hershel: "We just lost 12 of our own. Two of them were killed in cold blood."
Analysis: Who could possibly be behind this? It could be the Governor because he's familiar with the prison and will be a season regular. But based on quotes from other characters, specifically Hershel, I have a feeling that this attack came from within the prison. Could it be one of the people from Woodbury, or could it be someone from the main cast? Don't be surprised if it ends up being Carl who does this. Think about it. Carl was pissed about having all the new people move in because they won't be able to defend themselves. Thus, he lures the walkers into the prison and eliminates the people in cell block D.
"You got to calm down." A big part in the comic book series was the fight between Rick and Tyreese, and it looks like we got a little preview of that in the trailer. It looks like Tyreese had Daryl pinned against a wall and then started a fight with Rick. But why did Tyreese start the fight?
Analysis: Tyreese won in the comic book series, but towards the end of the trailer, we see that his eye is swollen. This leads me to believe that Rick will win the fight in the television series. To answer the question of why he started the fight, we did see him looking down at something about halfway through the trailer. He looked to be getting emotional, which makes me think that someone very close to him died, most likely Sasha, his sister.

The Walking Dead Issue #112 (Comic Book Series) Review
*** I'm sorry this review is late. As you could tell, I had a lot of posts to complete and I didn't want to fall behind on those even more. So again, I apologize.***
This review will contain spoilers, so if you haven't read the issue yet, I wouldn't advise reading any further.
Another month, another issue of The Walking Dead. Even though there weren't any deaths, this issue was awesome! We're finally starting to see the start of the war beginning. When Rick had Negan at gunpoint, I thought it was over. But it couldn't have been that easy.
The issue starts off right after the death of Spencer and Rick arriving back the Safe Zone with the rest of the Survivors. He found out what happened to Spencer and got pissed off, yelling, "I thought we had an agreement?!" Then we had some tense dialogue between Rick and Negan, but Negan does explain that Spencer came to him and said that he wanted Rick dead.
Rick gives Negan half of his stuff and with everyone now back in Alexandria and Negan there with a small group, Rick scrambled back to his house and got Andrea to go up into the tower with her sniper. Andrea then killed a few Saviors and Negan actually looked a little nervous. Then Rick said to him, "You ever hear the one about a guy who brought a baseball bat to a gun fight, f--ker?" We then see Rick yelling and shooting his gun, and I thought, "Rick is actually going to do this." But to no avail.
We found out that Negan had about twenty armed men with guns stationed around the area, which shocked me because I thought he didn't have many guns. Then he explained that guns should only be used on the living and the thinkers because they're much more dangerous, which I do agree with. Then out come the Saviors and Negan then tells Rick that they're, "f--king f--ked."
That was a really exciting cliffhanger to end the issue. The war is about to start, so I think we all knew that Rick wasn't going to kill Negan just like that and same goes for Negan killing Rick. It also made a lot of sense for Rick to try and take Negan down at that moment in time. He just didn't know that Negan had about 20 armed men in the area.

Comic Series - Volume 20: All Out War
For any of you that have been following The Walking Dead comic book series over the past year, you're probably almost as or maybe even more excited then I am about the recent announcement of the "All Out War" 12 issue story arc.
We already knew this was going to happen anyway. But I have some cool "team" pictures showing the four different groups involved in the war. I also found out by looking through the pictures that they're officially naming Rick's group "The Survivors." There's also a new cover for the story arc, but the best thing about the new volume is that new issues are going to be released biweekly starting in October.
I'm excited because now we get twice The Walking Dead with the TV show also returning in October. So without further ado, let's take a look at the first of five pictures I'm going to analyze.
So this is the cover for the new story arc. I love the symbolism with the size of Negan's head because it shows how powerful he is and how the Survivors, Hilltop and Kingdom are getting ready to fight against these odds. You have Michonne on the right with her sword, Rick in the center with his axe and Andrea on left with her sniper in hand. Just as a side note, every time I see Andrea in the comic book series, I always think back to the TV series and how different it is from the comic book series. Finally, we have Carl at the bottom, who's looking a lot like a teenager and getting close to being 16 or 17 (I'm just guessing, I don't really know). Very cool cover!
So here's the first of four team posters that I'm going to go over. We now have the first official label for Rick's group, the Survivors. I like the name because of what they've been through, particularly Rick, Carl, Andrea and Michonne. The logo also resembles Carl a lot (except for the skull) because you have the eye patch and the cowboy hat. Very cool logo and poster!
Next is the poster for Negan's group, the Saviors. I love the addition of the baseball bat and I think a vulture is a perfect animal to represent Negan. Vultures prey on the weak, which is what Negan does with his threats of violence.
Next we have the Hilltop poster, which has great symbolism with the iron and the hammer. I'm pretty sure it refers back to the blacksmith that's located in the colony and how the people use spears when they're on watch duty. So I think this represents them pretty well.
Last, but certainly not least, we have the poster for the Kingdom. I do like the sword and tiger, but my favorite thing about the logo is how the whole thing is on one of those old school flags. Very cool logos for all four groups!

Season 4 - First Banner/Poster Revealed!
Finally! A visual released concerning season four! It's a miracle! It may not be much, but hey, at least it's something.
This is the best poster I've ever seen in terms of The Walking Dead. How I'm going to review this is starting from the left side and working my way over. So let's do it!
So we've got a herd of zombies surrounding Tyreese, who's got his trusty hammer straight out of the comic book series. It looks like he's ready to bash some skulls and we'll definitely be seeing that this upcoming season.
Moving on, we have Andrew Lincoln as Rick holding his revolver and still wearing the same shirt from season three. From all of the pictures I've seen so far from season four, Rick just looks really down. Just look at his face. Give me one reason why he doesn't look depressed. Granted, he did lose Lori last season, so maybe that's still on his mind in season four. But he is starting to look like the Rick from the comic books with his longer hair, so I do like that.
Speaking of longer hair, let's move over to Daryl, who looks like he doesn't care about his hair anyway. But he looks very tough with his longer hair and signature crossbow.
But I think the character that looks the coolest in this entire banner is Michonne, who's riding a horse with her sword in hand, almost like a knight from medieval times. I wonder if she'll actually get a horse in season four and just ride around and cut zombies' heads off. That would be so cool to see! My guess is that she has to, otherwise, they wouldn't have put it in the poster.
So if you haven't heard, Comic-Con is this weekend and there will be a panel of production people, actors and actresses answering questions about the upcoming season. There will be a season four trailer released on Friday and I will definitely do a post about that, so check back here for more updates and analysis about season four.

TV Series - Relationships in The Walking Dead
I think I speak for everyone reading this post when I say that finding something to do during a zombie apocalypse is very difficult. There's no television, video games, computers or any form of entertainment. This forces people to live close together in a camp-type environment and as a result, people are going to start hooking up.
It's the truth. There's no distractions or entertainment, they're all living together in an enclosed area and they're fighting for their lives every single day. It wouldn't be realistic for The Walking Dead not to contain a couple of relationships. In some cases, you could have people killing each other like with Rick, Lori and Shane.
While I'm at it, I'll just address that right now. It's completely logical for Lori to hook up with Shane because she thinks Rick is dead, she has to look after Carl and even if she doesn't like Shane, he saved them and is doing everything he can to protect the group. It's going to happen.
The unfortunate truth is that women will have a tougher time defending themselves in a zombie apocalypse as opposed to men, except if you're name is Michonne. Not to say that it isn't difficult for men to defend themselves, but they definitely have an advantage in terms of strength and hand-to-hand fighting.
Women will often use the "my hero" thing on men in order to get protection and things like that. I think The Walking Dead has done a pretty good job of that as the series has progressed. The love triangle with Shane, Rick and Lori and the relationship between Glenn and Maggie would all be things that could occur during a zombie apocalypse, although not all of them will end in death.
Now, I've liked most of the Glenn and Maggie relationship. My favorite moment/joke was when they were hooking up in the tower and Daryl yells to Glenn, "You coming?" I also liked the whole dynamic with Glenn hating Merle because of what the Governor did to Maggie. I thought that was really well done and interesting to watch. And again, their relationship makes sense because Glenn saved Maggie from that walker in the store back in season two.
Other then those two, there haven't really been that many relationships. A possible relationship that has been flying around the internet has been Daryl and Carol. Now, we haven't really seen them hook up or anything like that, but I expect to see some of that moving forward. I think Daryl would admire the fact that Carol has been able to survive up to this point without her daughter and her abusive husband, not that she misses him or anything like that.
I also think we'll see a love interest for Rick, but not right away like in seasons four, five or six. It would be a little weird if they did it in season four, just after Lori's death. So I think around season seven or eight would make sense, sort of like what Robert Kirkman did in the comic books with how he waited a little while for Rick to garner a love interest.

TV Series - Top 5 Greatest Moments
Out of all of my "Top 5" posts, this was by far the most difficult list to make because there have been so many memorable moments in first three seasons, and I'm sure there will be many more to come in the future. In terms of the word "moment" in The Walking Dead, it could evoke emotion, sadness, excitement or happiness. These moments keep you watching the series. So let's get started!
Honorable Mention: Merle going out a hero, S3 E15
This is the one where Merle goes into the car, the walkers are behind him, he's drinking and he goes in and is shooting guys left and right. He almost killed the Governor and then he pulled a season one quote in his final moments, "I ain't gonna beg." That whole sequence was one of the most exciting moments of season three.
#5 - The Governor shoots his entire army, S3E16 "Welcome to the Tombs"
This moment represents the complete transformation where the Governor will not allow anyone to get in the ways of his goals. His value of human life has basically decreased to nothing, and because they refused to listen to him and go back to the prison, he saw them as useless and just annihilated everyone in sight. That was a great scene with tremendous acting by David Morrissey.
#4 - Daryl finds zombie Merle, S3E15 "This Sorrowful Life"
I don't count this moment with "Merle going out hero" simply because this happened later in the episode. But Norman Reedus did a fantastic job in making that scene very touching for all of the viewers. I love when he just keeps pushing him back and then he finally has the guts to do it and kills him because he's able to just let go. Even though this was one of the saddest moments in the Walking Dead, it has to be one of the greatest as well.
#3 - Rick stabs Shane, S2E12 "Better Angels"
That was a crazy scene, especially looking back on it now. The acting by Andrew Lincoln and Jon Bernthal was phenomenal and the environment and the moment was absolutely perfect. What else can you say? I had mixed emotions after watching this moment because I was sad that Shane was dead, but at the same time, I felt like that was a crazy moment. Shane was such a major character in season two as well and that added to the shock of seeing him die.
#2 - Rick's reaction to Lori's death, S3E4 "Killer Within"
This was probably the saddest scene in the history of The Walking Dead television series, which is what makes this moment so great. When baby Judith comes out and Carl and Maggie exchange looks with Rick, he just knew it. The acting by Andrew Lincoln in this scene was by far the best acting he's ever done in The Walking Dead. It almost like you can feel all the emotion and the sadness going through Rick after finding out that his wife had passed away. That was one of the most powerful moments in The Walking Dead television series.

This is the greatest moment in The Walking Dead TV series not just because they were looking for Sophia for the entire season, but because not one single fan of The Walking Dead expected her to be in that barn. It was an absolutely brilliant scene and Rick was ultimately the one to put her down. There's really nothing more that needs to be said.

Season 4: Big Spot update + more pics
A couple weeks ago, I did a post about some predictions based on the Big Lots location pictures. I'm going to update that in this post as well as show some new pictures and make some new predictions.
If you zoom in on the top of the roof, we can clearly see Rick standing there on the right side of this picture (on top of the ''RE" in MOORE). I would think that Rick's group would be there to get supplies for all the new people they've taken in from Woodbury. As far as I know there will be a winter time skip, which means that Rick's group will be running low on food, even if they found a lot of food stockpiled at Woodbury. So I think Rick's group is at that location for food and supplies.
Here we have Steven Yeun, or Glenn, on location as you can see the building in the background. His appearance his reminiscent to his comic book counterpart who also used to wear the prison riot gear. His hair is longer then last season, and I love that the actors and actresses are starting to look like their characters in the comic book. It also feels like their actually in a zombie apocalypse by not cutting their hair or shaving.
If you're still not convinced it will be Rick's group that goes to the Big Spot location, here's another picture with Daryl's motorcycle in front of the fence. I think we can pretty much guarantee that the Governor will not be going to this location and it will be Rick instead.
There are more pictures out there but I felt these were the ones that solidified that Rick's group will go to the Big Spot location, probably trying to get food for his group at the prison. If you didn't know already, filming for the first episode was completed a while ago and these pictures were taken from the shooting of the premiere. So we should see the Big Spot location in the season four premiere.
Hopefully, we'll get to see a promo/trailer from Comic Con and get some ideas to where the Governor has gone. It's a big mystery at this point to fans of The Walking Dead. My guess now is that he went back to place where he fought Merle and met with Rick. But we won't know exactly until the season son four, which is still over three months away.

Comic Series - Top 5 Favorite Characters
A couple weeks ago, I did a post and listed my top 5 favorite characters from The Walking Dead television series. So I thought, why not do the comic book series as well? I don't know if I'll do one on the worst comic book characters, but we'll see. So let's get started!
5. Andrea
I absolutely love in Andrea in the comic book series. She's great with the sniper, takes guys down left and right and holds off people from attacking the group. I loved when she brought a group back to the prison to help Rick's group against The Governor and survived the attack against Tomas, which is where she got the scar on her face. You don't get to see a strong female character very often, so I think Andrea has to be in my top 5, at least for me anyway.
4. Sgt. Abraham Ford
Following the death of Tyreese, Abraham took the role as Rick's right hand man and did not disappoint with his awesome zombie kills and constant cursing. He's a big guy, he's had to kill to survive and he protected Eugene and Rosita for a long time. I thought it was really interesting at the time to have those three new characters come in after the prison and farm storyline. Abraham has to be on my list.
3. Negan
Even though he's killed some characters, you have to admit that Negan is a great villain. He's fun, he's funny, he has his rules, he's crazy and he's a big guy. I love some his quirks like with Lucille, and having Carl sing was another great moment of his. He's just a great villain and he has a lot qualities that make you like him, but you know he's not on Rick's side. Even though you want to see Rick's side win, you can still like and appreciate how great of a character Negan is. He also feels like he's not evil just for the sake of being evil like the Governor was. Negan realizes people are more useful alive then dead. But he wants to pin them down and make them work for him, almost like creating an empire in a zombie apocalypse.
2. Carl Grimes
As time goes on, Carl becomes tougher and tougher, and it's safe to say that he's not a kid anymore, even though he technically still is. I almost agree with Negan when he says, "Kid, you scare the hell out of me." He attempted to kill Negan, he lost an eye and he killed Ben without any remorse. I definitely appreciate Carl more in the comic book series then in the television series. I'm excited to see what happens with him in the future and what he will become.

Everything that Rick has been through and the amount of suffering he's been through in the comic books has been way more then what Rick in the television series has been through. It's awesome to see the comic book version of Rick still able to keep up hope and lead people through tough times. I love Rick Grimes in the comic book series and he's my favorite character in The Walking Dead comic book series.

The Walking Dead Issue 111 (Comic Book Series) Review
I apologize that this review is late. I've been sick all of this week and didn't get a chance to read the new issue until last night. As always, this review will contain spoilers, so for anyone who hasn't read the new issue yet, you may not want to keep reading this.
So based on the cover of this issue, we knew we would see at least one character death. However, there are instances where you have a cover which may not exactly depict what is going to happen in the issue. That was not the case in this issue. I was going back and forth between Dwight and Rick for who Negan would kill. I never once thought that it would be Spencer.
I never thought that Negan would go to Alexandria to get supplies while Rick was out with the others at the Kingdom getting ready to attack. That's a pretty interesting angle and completely different from what I thought was going to happen. It's also a very interesting way of introducing the upcoming war between Rick's group and Negan's group.
So we start off with Carl trying to sneak off during the night to play with Ezekiel's tiger, but he gets caught by Rick. That was a pretty funny moment and Rick then tells Carl that he can play with it tomorrow. Next was a quick, little scene with Michonne where she takes her sword and actually sleeps with it next to her.
Then we have Jesus arguing with Gregory at the Hilltop and gathering his troops to head over to the Kingdom. Gregory isn't really in on this war, so he's more likely to stay out of the whole situation. So Jesus has about twenty men, Ezekiel has about forty people and Rick has his small group of tough fighters. They also have Dwight on their side, but either way, this war is definitely going to be a blood bath, especially since Rick's group doesn't know that Negan is at Alexandria. Then we see Andrea putting together a group of snipers and Michonne doing a little sword training with Ezekiel and his men.
The rest of the issue is basically Negan showing up at Alexandria, banging on the gate and eventually being let in. We have Spencer wanting to talk to Negan and being all polite with his shirt tucked into his jeans and all that good stuff. I really liked the ending to the issue because at first, I thought Spencer knew what Rick was up to and was going to tell Negan everything. But then Spencer actually wanted Negan to kill Rick and then Negan says,
"You wanted to take over... why not just kill Rick and take the f--k over? You know why? BECAUSE YOU GOT NO GUTS."
Then he just takes his knife and cuts Spencer's stomach open and all of his guts spill everywhere. Negan's next lines are why he is the greatest villain in The Walking Dead by far. He said,
"Oh, how embarrassing! They were inside you the whole time. You did have guts. I've never been so wrong before in my life! Clean this up before a kid sees it... and find out where this a--h--- lived. I want to play some pool."
That's Negan in a nutshell.
Overall, I really enjoyed this issue a lot. I think it's interesting to see Negan in Alexandria and I never thought that Spencer would be the one to die in this issue. As always, I'm really excited to see what happens next and how the whole Negan situation will resolve itself. I think we will see a ton of deaths on both sides in the upcoming war and I think it could last anywhere from 10-20 issues, so we should see a lot more Negan. Now who doesn't love that?

Comic Book Series - Issues 111 + 112 Cover Preview
The Walking Dead comic book series has some really interesting covers coming up. So I decided to preview them and make some predictions on what is going to happen. Here is the cover for Issue 111, which comes out on June 12th:

I think this is one of best covers we've seen in a while. Obviously, this is Negan, and the big question here is who has he killed this time? The plot for this issue is in the caption, which makes me think that at least one character is going to die. You would have to think that the character will be part of Rick's "Alliance" you can say with the Hilltop and the Kingdom. Based on the cover it could be anyone.
It could be Dwight from Negan's group because he wants to kill Negan as well as Rick and everyone else. But out of everyone against Negan, Dwight is probably in the most dangerous position because he is going to have to gain the support of people within Negan's group. Rick has his group and Ezekiel has his group, so Dwight is going to have recuit some people and get them on his side. That is probably going to lead to someone ratting out Dwight, so I could definitely see Negan killing Dwight in the next issue.
So it could either be Dwight or dare I say it, Rick Grimes. Now based on this cover, I would say, "No way! It can't be Rick!" But if you take a look at the cover for Issue 112, which comes out on July 10th, it could happen.

So just based on the caption/plot teaser, I think we could actually see the death of Rick. We knew he was going to die sooner or later, so is this the time that the unthinkable will happen? Even though it logically makes sense, I tend to think that Robert Kirkman wouldn't want to kill Rick at this time. Maybe the group was split up or something, but what I can say is that things are not looking good for Rick's group.
I'm still going to go with Dwight and I think the cover for Issue 112 is just a way to build suspense. I don't think they would kill Rick at this time, but either way, those are some great covers and I'm excited to see what happens with the whole Negan situation and the upcoming war.

Season 4 - Carl's Evolution
Out of every character in The Walking Dead television and comic book series, it's safe to say that Carl Grimes has been the character that has evolved the most since the beginning. He went from a defenseless little boy that couldn't shoot or protect himself to a cold-blooded killer.
Surprisingly, Carl actually has a nice list of kills. He indirectly killed Dale because he didn't tell anybody about the walker that he saw in the woods and he basically got the zombie free of the mud. He put down the zombified Shane in one of the best scenes in all of season two when Rick thought Carl was pointing the gun at him, but he was actually saving his father. The he had to kill his own mother, Lori, before reanimation. Any character that has to put down their own mother can go through anything, whereas most people would struggle with that.
Lastly, he killed Jody, that kid from Woodbury at the end of season three. Even Hershel wasn't that cold enough to be able to put that kid down. But I think that kid did have busy eyes, meaning that he was putting his gun down but he was looking around to maybe get a shot off or something of that nature. Afterwards, I think Hershel makes it sound like to Rick that Carl did the wrong thing. But I think Carl did the right thing in that situation and he did what he had to do, as he would say.
I think Carl has figured out the rules of the zombie apocalypse where other characters like Hershel have not quite figured it out yet. There is a line between being kind to others and having no choice but to kill.
The question that I've heard the most about Carl is who does he resemble more: Rick or Shane? I would have to say that he behaves more like Shane, although Rick can definitely put characters down if they need to be put down like Dave and Tony at the bar in season two. However, Carl seems to have less trouble pulling the trigger, which may be a conflict between him and Rick because Rick can be too kind at times.
In terms of what I expect to see in season four, I would tend to think that Carl will be just like his comic book counterpart and become even more ruthless, start arguing with Rick a lot and start speaking his mind on important manners. I think he will be one of the most interesting characters to watch in the future.
In addition, Carl will be growing up a lot faster in the television series then in the comic books because in every season of The Walking Dead, Chandler Riggs grows another year older. He's 13 right now, so if The Walking Dead goes to a season seven or eight, Chandler Riggs would 17 or 18 years old. That would be pretty weird to see, but I think he would make for a really good main protagonist at that point if the show does reach that many seasons.
Carl is finally starting to come into his own and not be that annoying, bratty kid from the first two season that made a bunch of stupid mistakes. I can't wait to see the arguments he has with Rick next season and how they don't see eye to eye on anything anymore.

TV Series - Top 5 Favorite Characters
With season four slowly approaching (which feels like an eternity), I've decided to count down my top five favorite/greatest characters from The Walking Dead television series. I'll probably do my top five characters from the comic book series later. For those of you that do read the comics, there are a lot of characters in the comics, so I'll have an even tougher time picking my favorites from the comic book series. Without further ado, here are my top five favorite characters from the television series:
Honorable Mention: Morgan Jones
I know he's only been in two episodes, but I think his performance in "Clear" is the only reason I have him as an honorable mention. I think that was one of the best episodes of season three mainly because we get to see what has happened with him since the first episode of The Walking Dead. A lot of fans were hoping that he would return in the season three finale, but that didn't happen unfortunately. He may not be on that much, but when he is, the episode is always fantastic.
#5 - Glenn Rhee
The last remaining survivor from the Atlanta camp, Glenn has been one of my favorite characters over the past three seasons. He saved Rick from Atlanta and was the group's main supply runner. He began a relationship with Maggie in season two and I guess you can say they are married since Glenn gave her that ring in "This Sorrowful Life." Not only does Glenn show compassion and humanity, but he is one tough guy. When he and Maggie were captured and interrogated by the Governor, he survived a beating from Merle and a walker attack while tied to a chair. That brought out his resourcefulness and quick-thinking, which is why Glenn is one of my favorite characters.
#4 - Philip Blake a.k.a. "The Governor"
As much as I absolutely hate the Governor, you have to admit that he is a great villain. If you don't have the Joker, you don't really have Batman. What I mean by that is that you can have Batman, but you don't really have Batman unless you have someone like the Joker. If you're watching a Batman movie without the Joker, something is definitely missing. The Governor is that "Joker" and main villain. Sure, you have all the zombies, but again, you're missing that main villain that always stirs up trouble. I think the Governor has been handled really well and he definitely has to be on my list.
#3 - Merle Dixon
I think Merle was absolutely fantastic and one of my favorite characters in season three. He was responsible for some of the best moments of the entire season like taking out eight of the Governor's men in "This Sorrowful Life." It's too bad that he died because he really is an interesting character. He does what needs to be done, has no class whatsoever and teeters on the brink of a hero and a villain. I think he definitely went out as a hero in "This Sorrowful Life" when he took out all of those men and drew all of those zombies to where the Governor was.
#2 Rick Grimes
Andrew Lincoln is a phenomenal actor and there is no else better suited to playing Rick then him. I liked all of the struggle in season three over Lori's death and how he got over Lori in the second half of season three. Personally, I think Rick is more of a badass in the television series then in the comic book series, using grenades very well and being a great shot. One of the best scenes of season two was when Rick killed Dave and Tony in that bar, and another memorable scene was seeing Rick kill all those zombies in the prison following Lori's death. He's the main character of the series, and rightfully so because he is absolutely fantastic.
#1 Daryl Dixon
Rick may be the main character, but I think people watch The Walking Dead solely to see Daryl Dixon in action with his signature crossbow. I never want to see Daryl killed off because he is such a fan favorite, a great survivor and an interesting character in general. Norman Reedus did an outstanding job in season three, especially when he has to kill Merle after seeing him as a zombie. I loved when he just took the crossbow from Shumpert after Rick and Maggie came back to save him and Merle. In addition, Daryl probably had the best zombie kill in the history of the television series. Remember this?
Probably the best zombie kill I've ever seen in my life. I also love when Daryl stands up to Merle about Glenn he tells him, "He's Korean." That was one of my favorite lines of the entire season by far.

The Walking Dead Issue 110 (Comic Book Series) Review
Sorry this review is late, but I did read the issue right away because I love The Walking Dead comics just like the television series. I like them equally and for different reasons. But the comic book series is just great and I can't wait for the next one to come out. At this point, this probably the most exciting the series has been in a while.
SPOILER ALERT! BUT IF YOU JUST WATCH THE TV SHOW, YOU WON'T REALLY CARE ANYWAY! BESIDES, THERE IS NOT ANY CHARACTER DEATHS AT ALL!
So in this month's issue, which was released on Wednesday, things are starting to come together for the imminent war that is going to occur between Negan and the alliance of Rick's group, a splinter part of the Hilltop colony, and the Kingdom.
This was basically a character-builder issue, as we're getting to know Ezekiel and what he's about. The cover was really interesting because you have Michonne with her sword and Ezekiel with his, so this finally brings in a match for Michonne in the comic book series, which hasn't happened since Tyreese at the prison.
This is the first time that Michonne has had somebody that she really seems to click with. She is one of the most badass chicks you could ever meet in a zombie apocalypse. She has a sword and has probably killed more zombies then any character in the entire comic book series. Ezekiel, who has a tiger by the way, basically told Michonne that she's carrying a samurai sword, but she's using it like she's fencing.
It's kind of interesting that he can break down her techniques, which makes me think that he's even better with a sword and we just haven't seen it yet. So he has a tiger and he assumingly is amazing with a sword, which probably makes him more badass then she is. We also find out a little more about Ezekiel's story, which is necessary because you need to get to know characters before you can care about them. Hopefully, we'll get to see Ezekiel in action very soon.
We also got to see how many men/people the Kingdom has and there is so many more people there then in Rick's group and even at Hilltop. They all looked pretty tough too, so this war is going to be pretty awesome. But as far as we know, there is no set number of people who will fight against Negan's group, but based on the pictures, the Kingdom has about 20-30 fighters. You also have the Hilltop group and Rick's splinter group of Andrea, Carl, Michonne, Heath, Aaron and Eugene, who didn't come to the Kingdom however.
So all in all, Negan's group would still outnumber them, unless Dwight is able to get enough people on his side against Negan. The main player in all of this may be Eugene he may able to produce those bullets. He seemed kind of hesitant towards Rick, not that he doesn't trust him, but he doesn't want to produce bullets that will be used for killing people. Eugene is going to have to realize that if he doesn't produce those bullets, everyone is going to be killed or Negan will end up taking all of the ammunition.
As for Jesus and Kal, nothing really happened other the Jesus convincing Kal not to tell Negan of their plans and to come back to Hilltop. Overall, I thought it was a great issue and I can't wait for the upcoming war, which I would assume would take up an entire volume (six issues). The next issue comes out on June 12, so we got to wait another month, but it'll be worth the wait.

Season four production for The Walking Dead began on Monday and AMC has already released the first picture of season four. I really like that as they're filming, they are releasing a bunch of stuff just like last season. I didn't even expect a picture to be released this early, but nonetheless, here is the picture:
So it's basically a picture of Rick standing in the forest and probably outside of the prison. You also have a walker in the background and Rick either doesn't care or doesn't see it coming. Other then that, there's not really much you can speculate. It's the first picture, it's obviously very cool and it gets me even more excited for season four.

Season 4 - Plot Predictions
Now that Rick and the prison group have added on all these extra survivors from the Woodbury community, their group has become really big.
A sense of community is going to be key, but a big problem they are going to run into is the amount of resources to feed, house and dress all of those people. During a zombie apocalypse, a lot of those elderly people can't really carry their own weight. Sure, they may be helpful in doing jobs inside the prison. But do you really expect them to go on supply runs or go out and kill zombies outside the prison? It's going to be interesting to see where a lot of those people have a place in the group.
It's safe to say Rick is still the leader of the group, but it's supposed to be a democracy. I think we'll see that storyline come back in season four with Rick and Tyreese possibly budding heads because Rick is the leader of his own group and Tyreese feels responsible for the people of Woodbury due to the Governor leaving and what he did. I would love to see a fist fight between Rick and Tyreese like in the comic books.
This whole prison situation is basically a new Alexandria Safe-Zone from the comic books. Instead of Rick leading his own group and joining and eventually taking over the whole place, Rick in the television series has a similar size group. I think we could possibly see some storylines from the most recent comic books being used in season four because Rick has a whole community to look after.
There are more surviving groups out there and I think we'll start to see a lot more survivors from outside the prison. The zombies will definitely be a threat, but at the same time, we'll probably start seeing a lot more groups that we don't know anything about. I think the Governor will join up with a group and have another group, possibly Abraham and his group from the comic books, debut in the television series and join the fray.
Since a lot more characters are in the show now, there is going to be so much more happening at once in the same season. I think you could do the "Thomas" storyline from the comic book series and have someone from Woodbury start killing people within the prison and have Rick and Tyreese try and find out who it is.
We know for sure that the Governor is not finished with Rick's group, so he'll be back with Martinez and Shumpert. The Governor is going to be adding people to his group to become a threat once again to Rick's group and he'll probably attack the prison multiple times in season four. I do not have the Governor making it out of season four because there are 16 episodes, so most of the later episodes could be used to build up the Governor's death. I think he'll pick off a few people from Rick's group like Hershel, Beth or maybe Carol.
Also, I don't think the Governor is going to be the only villain in season four because we've already had a full season with the Governor as the main antagonist. Obviously, it will be fun to see him come back, but again, 16 episodes is a lot and I don't think the Governor storyline we'll be able to stretch out for the entire season by himself. It would be smart to add another main villain or another group that Rick's group doesn't get along with.
The beginning of season four will basically be Rick's group going out on supply runs because due to the time skip, they're going to be out of food by the start of spring, so they're going to have to find stuff quickly because you have all of those people to feed and finding supplies quickly is going to become more important over time.
As you saw in the season finale, Carl is starting to disagree more and more with Rick, blaming him for him mom's death and for other characters as well. I think Carl is going to become much colder and he'll get stuff done if it needs to be done. His character is going to be interesting to watch. I think you also need to have characters like Michonne and Daryl to go out and get food and supplies and things of that nature. Plus, they have the best weapons ever with the sword and the crossbow.
So just to recap possible storylines for season four: Rick and Tyreese budding heads, possible Alexandria storylines, the Governor joining up with another group, Thomas storyline from comic books, the addition of another villain or villainous group, Carl and Rick beginning to grow apart

The beginning of season four will basically be Rick's group going out on supply runs because due to the time skip, they're going to be out of food by the start of spring, so they're going to have to find stuff quickly because you have all of those people to feed and finding supplies quickly is going to become more important over time.
As you saw in the season finale, Carl is starting to disagree more and more with Rick, blaming him for him mom's death and for other characters as well. I think Carl is going to become much colder and he'll get stuff done if it needs to be done. His character is going to be interesting to watch. I think you also need to have characters like Michonne and Daryl to go out and get food and supplies and things of that nature. Plus, they have the best weapons ever with the sword and the crossbow.
So just to recap possible storylines for season four: Rick and Tyreese budding heads, possible Alexandria storylines, the Governor joining up with another group, Thomas storyline from comic books, the addition of another villain or villainous group, Carl and Rick beginning to grow apart
So it's going to be fun to see how season four plays out and I think it will be way better then season three, and just the thought of that makes me excited for this fall. Plus, it is a little more then a week away before season four filming begins in Atlanta. I can't wait, I know you guys can't either!

The Walking Dead Issue 109 (Comic Book Series) Review
Sorry this is late, as I was busy with school all week and didn't have time to post this review. Also, this issue was released on Wednesday, April 10.
So the television series has been so good that I almost totally forgot about the comic book series, which has also been awesome.
SPOILER ALERT! IF YOU HAVEN'T READ ISSUE 109 OR ANY PREVIOUS ISSUES, YOU MAY NOT WANT TO READ THIS! THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING!
Just to recap what has been going on up to this point, we met Negan, the leader of the Saviors, in Issue 100 when he killed Glenn. Afterwards, Rick became submissive with his group and understood that there are limitations to whom he can pick a fight with, and Negan, at that point in time, was not someone he wanted to mess with. Now, Rick is beginning to find out that there are more groups close to the Alexandria Safe-Zone that Negan has bullied into giving him half of their supplies.
However, Rick knows that this can't last forever because as time goes on, finding supplies becomes more and more rare. That being said, he knows that he has no other choice but to fight back against Negan, although the Saviors do have about 50 to 60 fighters. That may sound like a lot of men/women, but Negan's group does have weaknesses, such as their lack of guns and ammunition.
So Issue 109 starts off with Maggie and Sophia at the Hilltop. I like the development with Maggie's pregnancy and Dr. Harlan Carson is checking on her when Gregory, the one who got stabbed by one of the Saviors, walks in and introduces himself to Maggie. We find out that he's kind of a creepy womanizer, or at least tries to be, to no avail.
We then find Jesus, who talks with Gregory about Ezekial. After that, we finally get to meet Kal, who was seen in previous issues, but now we find out who he is and all that good stuff. Now, when Jesus was telling Kal, Gregory and Maggie about the plan to take down Negan, I immediately thought that he was telling too many people. You have Rick telling Michonne, Andrea and Carl, but we know they're not going to tell anyone else. We don't really know Kal all that well and we don't really know the relationship between Kal and Jesus.
At the end of the issue, it came to back to bite Jesus in the butt, as Kal has gone off an a run, but we know that's not the case. Kal obviously has gone off to tell Negan about their plan and has betrayed Jesus.
It's safe to say that once Negan finds out about the plan, he's going to attack. I don't know how strong the resistance will be against Negan because Rick has a few people, we don't know how many fighters Ezekial has, and the Hilltop residents are absolutely terrified of Negan, except for about five to ten people. It makes sense that Kal did what he did because he's so scared of Negan and he's not sure that the plan to take him down is going to work. There could be a chance that Jesus is wrong about the entire situation and Kal has gone on a supply run, but I think those chances are slim.
Back at the Alexandria Safe-Zone, Michonne is pissed at Rick for lying about Negan, but I think she's still loyal to Rick. She let Rick know that she was angry instead of hiding it like Kal hid what he was going to do from Jesus. Obviously, Michonne is not a traitor, she won't screw him over or tattle on him or anything like that.
Just to look ahead, the Issue 111 cover features Negan smiling with a knife in his hands. I think somebody is going to pay for this mutiny against them. I think there will be a couple of major deaths over the next couple of issues. I think Jesus could potentially be killed by Negan because he was the one who told Kal about the plan.
Overall, I liked the issue a lot and I liked the plot and character development. I think it's very interesting to see what is happening with the mutiny versus Negan, the characters involved and possible snitches and rats, like Kal.

Season 4 Death Predictions
It's never too early to predict deaths for season four of The Walking Dead, even if it is six months away.
One of the most fun things about The Walking Dead is predicting who is going to die next. I'm going to give my thoughts on who is going to survive this season and who is going to die.
Right off the bat, I think its almost a lock that the Governor will die next season. It's getting to the point where some viewers are getting tired of seeing him on the show and just want him dead. After what he did in the season three finale, I definitely want to see him die as well. I think Daryl, Rick or Karen, the one who hid behind the dead body, are all candidates for who kills the Governor.
I thought we would see the Governor's death in the season three finale, but I think keeping him alive isn't so bad either. I think we'll get to see more villains in season four and maybe introduce some new characters because the season is 16 episodes, so they have a lot of room for character development. I also think we'll see multiple storylines with Rick's group along with the storyline of the Governor, Martinez and Shumpert. I think all three of them will die, along with whoever else the Governor adds to his group.
Now, onto Rick's group. I think Rick and Carl obviously has to live at this point, and I will be doing a future post on Carl's character for next season and whether he'll kill any more innocent people like he did in the finale. You could injure Carl like he is in the comic books, but I don't think he needs to die.
I'm surprised Carol is still alive at this point and I think she has to die at some point in season four. Beth, on the other hand, might be filling the role of Sophia in the comic books because Sophia is still alive in the comic book series. She could be a potential character for Carl to have as a friend, so I could understand if she is still alive by the end of this season. Although, I'm of the mindset that she will die this upcoming season as well.
If Daryl dies, we riot. End of story.
Karen, a new character from Woodbury, could die, but it would be nice if she killed the Governor after what she saw him do to all those people in the finale. Tyreese could be killed, but he just joined up with Rick's group, so I think he'll survive at least for this season and die possibly in season five because we haven't really gotten to know him yet.
I think Hershel is filling in the role of Dale in the comic book series, so I think he could die, but I think he'll stick around until season five or six. I think Glenn and Maggie are safe, although I think the lovey-dovey scenes between them are starting to get annoying for me anyway. I guess you kind of have to have those scenes to offset all the action and the drama, but its getting annoying and I wouldn't rule out the possibility of either one of them dying this season.
I don't know if Morgan is going to return to the group this season. I could see him not returning at all or possibly seeing the Governor run into him, which would be very interesting. But I don't think we'll see Morgan return this season, although it would be great of they did it. I think Michonne has to live, no question about it. I think Sasha, who is Tyreese's sister, is guaranteed to die at some point in season four. All the people that came from Woodbury are basically goners when next season comes around.
So my list of people dying in season four goes like this: the Governor, Martinez, Shumpert, Carol, Beth, Sasha and the rest of elderly and children that came from Woodbury are goners. I don't think they should kill too many characters because then there wouldn't be enough people for character development and all that stuff. I think we could be introduced to Abraham, another comic book series character, later in season four.
I'll probably be coming out with a thorough review of season three probably later today or tomorrow, and same goes for my post on Carl's character development for next season. Don't go away zombiephiles.
